As a result of the increasing number of people traveling, there is a growing demand for more flights. What problems does this have on the environment? What measures could be taken to solve the problems?

The environment plays a significant role to support life on Earth. Environmental issues are a matter of concern these days. Unfortunately, our planet is on the brink of ecological disaster. Today we can't imagine our life without travelling. Over recent years, international tourism has seen significant growth across the globe. In my opinion, this has resulted in an increasing demand for flights which has negatively affected the environment.

Firstly, there is a disastrous effect on nature in the form of impurity of air, water, and so on. Due to the movement of visitors and jets from one point to another, it releases toxic fumes into the atmosphere, which leads to the depletion of the ozone layer. It results in an adverse effect, such as, global warming, which further enhances the temperature of the earth.

Secondly, air-crafts emit an inordinate amount of exhaust fumes and toxic gases that contaminate the air. This could result in other catastrophic events such as acid rain which in turn causes soil pollution. Additionally, air pollution tends to disturb the natural ecosystem of birds and other species. Therefore, it is undeniable that an increasing number of flights has a negative impact on the environment.

To sum up, growth in the aviation industry has given rise to the pollution of air. The government has several ways to minimize the effects of flights. For example, the plantation of more trees can control the detrimental consequences of flights or the government should actively promote the use of green energy sources that are more environmentally friendly. However, politicians do not always consider the urgency of this problem and less often take any measures in order to cope with it.

In conclusion, I would like to say that not only the government is responsible for the preservation of the environment, but also each of us individually. If you want to change the world, start with yourself. From the moment of its appearance on our planet, humanity has depended on nature. We must protect and take care of the environment. The environment is a very important thing for humans. If people don’t stop polluting, soon there will be no clean water to drink, no plants, and no animals.
