There are a lot of movies and stories about superheroes now. Usually the word “hero” used towards people whose job is a policeman, a fireman or a doctor. All of them save people’s lives.

I think that teachers are heroes too. They are everyday heroes, in my opinion. They are not strong men with huge muscles, but just humble people who carry out their hard useful work honestly. For example, my neighbour Irina has a teaching profession. I admire her because Irina has to cope with a difficult and responsible job. She says that it is very interesting and creative job too. She does this work because she loves children. Every day Irina takes care of her pupils and teaches them.

She teaches 7-10 years old children. On Irina’s lessons pupils gain knowledge in math, Russian, literature and other subjects. We live in the country and our school is little village school. That’s why she teaches physical education too. Children discover many new things. Irina makes learning interesting and fan. Besides, from teacher pupils learn to be kind and honest. Also, she helps them when they have problems. Kids often fall out with each other. At that time the teacher helps them to make up. She explains to them how to behave and treat people in different situations. Children have really friendly teacher.

Irina’s workday starts at nine o’clock with greeting her pupils. Then she has four or five lessons. After a second lesson Irina leads children to the school canteen to eat lunch. After lessons she checks home exercises, fills out the class register and prepares for tomorrow lessons. As a rule, her workday continues until late evening. On one hand, children do not thank her. On the other hand, they respect and love her for wisdom, kindness and willingness to help. Certainly, Irina makes great contributions to the education and upbringing of a new generation.
