Social networks: advantages and disadvantages

We can’t imagine modern life without computers, technologies and internet. All of them have a part in a people life. Social networks are the most popular of them. We use it every day. We can connect with our relatives and friends, who are situated so far from us. It is very comfortable. However scientists research the problem of bad influence of social networks to people. And we must know about advantages and disadvantages of social networks.

They are useful because:

we can connect with colleagues, relatives and friends from different towns and countries by social networks. Also we can take meeting with new people;

there are a lot of cognitive films, good music, interesting books and thematic groups in social networks;

social networks can help you with your study. Pupils can share their homework, notes and other useful information; also they can discuss problem questions with other;

social networks may be used as a platform to doing your business; you can give advertisement about your goods and services. It's good to search new clients and business partners.

But in spite of all advantages of social networks they have some disadvantages:

there are a lot of information pollutions and it grow up the time what we spend in social networks; it has a bad influence for our health;

when people spend a lot of time in social networks, they lose real companionship;

secret services use social networks for shadowing;

and one of the biggest disadvantage is an internet addiction – it is the psychological illness which may be reason of different complexes for example, inferiority complex.

To draw the conclusion, I say that Internet connection must being in our life as addiction, but not be the basis of our life. Social networks can give us a lot of advantages. We must give from it goods and weed out their disadvantages. And if you want to save your psychological health you must regulate the time, what you spend in networks.
