After the first flight to space by Juriy Gagarin in 1961, a lot of people thought that in 21st century, people will travel across the space so free. We could go to other planets, stars and even discover new galaxies.

Unfortunately, it is not possible nowadays. A part of humanity think that space discovering is not important for people. And other part of scientists declare that space discovering get good advantages to people on the Earth. Space innovations will be used in mining industry, medicine, security systems etc. And this part of scientists has some reasons for continued space development.

Safety from asteroids and meteorites.

NASA said, that every 10000 years stone or metal asteroid may bump with the Earth. And if we will have a well funded space program, we will recognize meteorites before they will be near to our planet and destroy them.

State and international security.

Advanced nations can recognize and prevent all aggressions from other countries or terrorist groups. And we use satellites and space inventions for it. Space development will modern this part of international security.

Raw materials from space.

There are gold, silver platinum and other precious metals in space. Nowadays some giant corporations start to extract raw materials from asteroids and other space objects. For example, Moon has a large stock of helium-3, which used to medicine and to nuclear energy. Also Moon is reached for rare chemicals elements like europium and tantalum.

Nations frienship.

A lot of countries have their own researches of space. But if they work together, we will have better results. Now we have the international space station - big researching laboratory-spaceship constantly situated in space. Many different scientists from different countries work at this station.

New territories.

Some space researchers say that the Earth may provide 8-16 million people. But now already 7 million people live on our planet. And we must to discover new planets and adapt its to people live for colonized its in future. It will be new living territories for us.
