I Want to Become a Photographer

When I was eleven, separating things in my parents` closet, I accidentally discovered an old father’s camera «Zenit». It turns out that in his youth, my father was really fond of photography and even was able to independently process a film. Intrigued by this information, I asked dad to teach me to use the film camera.

Since then, the old «Polaroid» became my best and most faithful friend. In addition, three years ago, the parents gave me for my birthday semiprofessional SLR camera Nikon D90, and since then I can make not only analog, but also high-quality digital images. Now my passion for photography is just a hobby, but I seriously think about how to make it my future profession.

Photographers today are highly sought: they shoot weddings, various cultural events and fashion shows. If I’m lucky, and I can do so that I am noticed, I think, in the future, in addition to commercial activities, I will pursue true art. I would very much like to open my own exhibition, at which there would be photographs depicting animals, because I like to shoot these remarkable creatures.

If my family’s financial capabilities afford, after graduation from school, I will try to enter the MSU faculty of photojournalism. I also have a dream to acquire over time a professional film camera to be able to do higher quality footage.

My parents support me in my decision to become a photographer, and I thank them for it. I think that, if there are people who believe in you, you will surely succeed!
