Write an essay: «Was Julia happy in marriage? How did her relationships with Michael change in course of time?»

Julia Lambert met her future husband Michael when was playing in the Jimmie troupe. Michael was divinely beautiful. Julia fell in love with him at first sight. She could not achieve reciprocal love - perhaps because Michael was completely devoid of temperament both on stage and in life. But Michael admired her game.

Michael was the son of a colonel, he graduated from Cambridge. When Michael was offered a lucrative contract in America, Julia was beside herself - how could he leave, leaving her? However, Michael left. He returned with money and no illusions about his acting ability.

Michael and Julia got married and moved to London. If Michael had a temperamental character the first year of their life together would be very turbulent. But Michael had a practical mind and could not express his love. Julia was madly jealous and made staged scenes. When the First World War began, Michael went to the front. The military uniform was very good on him. Julia rushed after him, but he didn’t allow it - you can’t let the public forget yourself. She continued to play and was recognized as the best actress of the younger generation. Her fame became so solid that she could allow yourself to leave the stage for several months and have a baby. Shortly before the end of the war, Julia suddenly fell out of love with Michael and, together with longing, felt triumph, as if avenging him for her past agony - now she is free, now they will be on equal footing!

After the war, having received a small inheritance from Michael’s parents, Michael and Julia opened their own theater. Michael became involved in administrative activities and directing.

Recalling the past, Julia is sad: life has deceived her, her love has died. But she has her art left - every night she takes the stage. Julia triumphs on stage. Julia Lambert is the best actress in England. She is an actress; she is happy on stage. And Julia plays a role in the life. She is forty-six; she is beautiful, rich, famous. She is engaged in her favorite business in the most favorable conditions for this, that is, he plays in her own theater. Her marriage is considered perfect. Moreover, they have lovely son. Michael admires his wife talent. In my opinion, even though Julia has ceased to love Michael, she feels comfortable with him. What is happiness? This question is very difficult to answer.
