Write about a film you know you know

My favourite movie is Avatar which premiered in 2009. I went to see the film to the cinema as I heard earlier that it is very spectacular and it must be watched in the cinema. What's more it is a 3D movie and we needed 3D glasses to experience all the special effects it contained.

Avatar is an American epic science fiction film written and directed by James Cameron, and starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez, Joel David Moore, Giovanni Ribisi and Sigourney Weaver.

The film is set in the mid-22nd century, when humans are mining a precious mineral called unobtanium on Pandora, a lush moon of a gas giant in the Alpha Centauri star system.

Development on Avatar began in 1994, when Cameron wrote an 80-page scriptment for the film. Filming was supposed to take place after the completion of Cameron's 1997 film Titanic, for a planned release in 1999, but according to Cameron, the necessary technology was not yet available to achieve his vision of the film. Work on the language for the film's extraterrestrial beings began in summer 2005, and Cameron began developing the screenplay and fictional universe in early 2006.

Avatar was officially budgeted at $237 million. Other estimates put the cost between $280 million and $310 million for production and at $150 million for promotion.

The film was released for traditional 2-D viewing, 3-D viewing (using the RealD 3D, Dolby 3D, XpanD 3D, and IMAX 3D formats), and "4-D" viewing. The stereoscopic filmmaking was touted as a breakthrough in cinematic technology.

Avatar premiered in London on December 10, 2009, and was internationally released on December 16 and in the United States and Canada on December 18, to critical acclaim and commercial success.

The film broke several box office records during its release and became the highest-grossing film of all time in the U.S. and Canada and also worldwide, surpassing Titanic, which had held the records for the previous 12 years. It also became the first film to gross more than $2 billion.

Avatar was nominated for nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, and won three, for Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, and Best Art Direction. The film's home release went on to break opening sales records and became the top-selling Blu-ray of all time. Following the film's success, Cameron signed with 20th Century Fox to produce two sequels, making Avatar the first of a planned trilogy.

Avatar is a science fiction film written and directed by James Cameron. The film is set in 2154, when humans are mining a precious mineral called unobtanium on Pandora which is a moon.

The expansion of the mining colony threatens the existence of a local tribe of Na'vi—a humanoid species indigenous to Pandora. The film's title refers to the hybrid bodies used by a team of human researchers to interact with the natives of Pandora.

A world-known James Cameron directed this amazing tale. He has been working on it for ten years. The main actor’s name is Sam Worthington. He plays the role of a marine soldier Jake Sully. Jake takes part in an experiment and turns into a native being.

The action happens on the Planet Pandora. It’s a beautiful exciting place with wonderful nature and unusual native beings called the Navi. Jake wants to find the mines with exclusive minerals. He meets Neytiri (actress Zoe Saldana), one of Navi humanoids.

Jake Sully is a former marine, confined to a wheelchair. Despite his broken body, Jake in the soul remains warrior. He gets the job to travel in light years closer to the base of earthlings on the planet Pandora, where corporations extract the rare mineral having huge value for the yield of the Earth from energy crisis.

Because the air of Pandora is toxic, created the program Avatar , in which the consciousness of people is connected to an avatar, a biological body with a remote control that helps you to be in this destructive atmosphere. Avatars created using genetic engineering hybrids obtained by combining human DNA and DNA of the indigenous inhabitants of planet Pandora, the Na'vi.

Having received the second birth in the form of avatar, Jake can walk again. His mission — to destroy the Na'vi, which have become a major obstacle for the extraction of valuable ore. But a beautiful aboriginal woman Neytiri saves Jake's life, and this changes everything. Jake take in her clan, and he learns to be one of them that involves performing many tasks and passing numerous tests.

As soon as Jake's relationship with his forced mentor Neytiri become closer, he learns to respect the Na'vi world and eventually finds his place in it. Soon, his face the ultimate test when he leads a local race for a battle that will decide nothing more and nothing less than the fate of the whole world.

In my opinion, the actors and the acting are brilliant. I recommend this film to everyone. It is a wonderful, unusual, actual story which helps to appreciate important things in our life because our real world is angry and cruel.

I have not seen a more beautiful, large-scale film. Despite the rustic plot, the embodiment of the idea is more than worthy. This is one of those films, after watching which only positive emotions remain.

A pleasant and juicy picture from the first frames pleases the eye, and the camera work impresses with incredible camera flights. The actors did a good job of their roles, including thanks to the well-written characters.

I only disliked the stereotyped main villain who speaks in prepared phrases and is remembered only as a 'bad person'. Compare him with other famous movie villains and instantly understand that Colonel Quaritch is empty space.

The computer graphics are in full swing: even when viewing at home, not a single detail escapes you. Such an amazing world needs not only to be invented, but also cool to show.

The film impressed with a mass of modern and advanced special effects, graphics, excellent script and a bold idea of the author.

The film turned out to be an entertaining, successful and demanded viewer of any age, and for fans of science fiction, it is just a gift from the authors. This is probably one of the best fantastic films in recent years.

The viewer is shown a completely different world and one can plunge into it only by watching this film.

The voice acting is at a high level, as well as the musical accompaniment along the entire film, which also affected the film as a plus.

The actors played their roles excellently and even really, they just merged with the film, became a part of it.

The abundance of all possible creatures in the film and different controlled robots is also impressive. There is some truth in every fairy tale!

But most of all I am amazed at the behavior of those people whose activities are directly related to religion, various churches and theologians, because they should have expressed their opinion. What is it, misunderstanding of what is happening or complicity in the process, voluntary or involuntary? Yes, there are a lot of such films now, but it was 'Avatar' that became the most famous of them.

But the film's drama is pretty simple. Cameron was inspired by Pocahontas and did not even hide it. The story immediately captures the motives of a legend well known to all of us, and such a secondary, as for me, is a little out of place here.

The director needed to cover up the predictable elements of the story to a greater extent, but he got too carried away with the effects. However, nothing critical happened anyway.

Avatar, despite its simplicity, looks like a rich and worthy film that looks easy and does not put much pressure on our minds. When you watch it, then in your heart you want to go on a flight with Jake Sully, and this is real magic that covers almost all the negativity. I love the movie even many years after it came out, and that's great.

The film is etched into the memory, history, heroes, the beauty of which the film is shot, unfortunately you cannot see all the beauty on a cheap TV or monitor.

The way the film was shot, and most importantly the story, the plot, the film you just believe in its heroes, you fall in love, it is especially striking that you get used to the role as if it were you there and not the main characters, you generally forget that this is a film, it seems a documentary report from some distant planets, I want to believe that such planets really exist and such people really live there. In terms of the depth of empathy, I have seen few films like this, perhaps not a single one.

In general, after watching it, it just takes your breath away, there is nothing more to say, the film should be watched many times, I am sure I will not forget it for a long time!

People like different films: westerns, comedies, thrillers, actions, romantic stories. As for me, my favourite film is Avatar. The story impressed me very much. It is a fantastic film about another world. It isn’t like any other film I’ve ever seen.
