Write a description of the place for visitors

When you are in Saint Petersburgh and you have already seen all the tourist “must-see” attractions there is still something else interesting and extraordinary to visit. National Show Museum “Grand Maket of Russia”. It is a territory of Russia in a nutshell!

The main goal of the museum is to give the whole picture of the country, to show beauty and richness, to experience the uniqueness and the enormity of it! On a big territory of the Museum, you will be able to see the whole of Russia – from Kamchatka to Moscow. There are Kaliningrad and Sochi, Siberia and the Ural Mountains, Saint Petersburg and the Far East, Lake Baikal and Taiga! And while you are there you will experience the change of time zones – there is a simulated change of day and night, and even you will “caught by thunderstorm”. The Maket shows the changing landscapes, characters, sentiments.

Every detail is thoughtful and in its place. The little cars are going somewhere, the passing trains are waiting for the lights to turn on. Small figures of people – some of them are working in their garden, some are celebrating a wedding, and there are workers who are building a bridge.   

This place will be interesting for grown-ups and children as well! And if you are tired, we have a café on the territory.

For visitors with disabilities the museum is equipped with a lifting platform.
