Write your story

Traveling by car or bus can be unpredictable sometimes; we don’t exactly know what will happen with us in a road. Road accidents, big traffic jams, bad weather conditions may hinder a nice journey. I have got one long story about the longest and draining journey in my life.

July was at the calendar, I decided to go for a journey. I was thinking about going to Armenia – not very expensive country, as for money, and so wonderful and great at the same time, full of beautiful landscapes and ancient castles. I agreed with a driver for 2 p.m. and came in time, but there was no any driver at all. Lots of people had already gathered before the bus station. We had been said that our bus had broken in the road, and we had to wait a little bit. After two hours people we were getting more and more nervous and annoyed, because there was still no driver. Finally, at midnight, they had found a new bus for us; no one wanted to get back home with the luggage. There hadn’t been two hours when we had stuck in a traffic jam, which had been lasting for 2 hours. Driving near the accident, we saw that a fuel truck had exploded. Then we went with a great speed, and in the morning we had already been on the checkpoint Larsi on the Georgia-Russia border. This place is famous for its long traffic jams, saying in advance, but this time was a special one for me. We had been stuck for whole 12 hours! How is it possible!?

Reaching the Armenian boarder, I called to my relatives to say they come and meet me at 2 a.m. I was so tired that I could fall asleep at any place, so after reaching my place in the bus, fully exhausted, I fell asleep.

After waking up at 2.30, I saw that we were standing near a café. It was dark and scary out there. I began to wake up everybody. In two hours I had been at my relative’s home. Last 45 hours were terrible for me. The next day I was sleeping all day long.

The story is very memorable for me, because I still can’t believe that so many things can happen in a road at same time. I just believe that everything that happens is for better.
