Why do I need to learn English?

Nowadays it is difficult to imagine a person without knowledge of English. Because this language has reached the international level. Today, English is used everywhere-business, travel, science, education, Internet, movies, etc. English unites people and helps to get knowledge from large sources of information.

I will give a few reasons why you need to know English:

1. Increasing "value" in the labor market. What kind of job you would not get, most likely, will encounter the column "Foreign languages". With today's competition in the labor market, this column can play in your favor if you know foreign languages. Now there are many international companies, as well as companies that cooperate with other countries.

2. Watching movies without translation. With cable TV, you can watch movies and programs from many countries. But for this, again, you need to know English, as most TV channels are in English. And it is much more interesting to watch foreign films without translation, as you can hear the voice and intonation of the actors.

3. Listening to music. After all, how nice to understand what your favorite foreign singer sings about! And the songs themselves become more interesting when you listen to them, understanding what they are sung.

4. On vacation, communicate in the language of the locals. When vacationing abroad, you can very useful knowledge of English, as you can easily find a common language with foreigners to communicate, or learn something from them; during excursions, you will know what the guide says; you will not get lost in the city, as you know the language; you can easily find the place you are interested in the city; and, ultimately,

5. Reading special literature. Mostly a small part of literature is translated into Russian, which deprives you of the opportunity to learn valuable information. And even if they translate literature, for example, which you need for work or study, the translation is delayed, as a rule, for a year or two (the average time of preparation and translation into Russian) and the information already has time to become outdated. Specialized sites are also mostly English-speaking. Knowledge of the language (even partial) significantly increases the possibility of obtaining the necessary information.

6. A good opportunity to earn. If you know English, you can help those in need of translation (be it specialized literature, lectures, letters, essay, article, paperwork), while earning money.

7. Additional opportunity. It never hurts to know a foreign language. It expands the horizon of your possibilities in life. None of us knows what benefit this knowledge can bring to you tomorrow.

That is why knowing English makes life easier for us. Therefore, we are lucky that we learn this language from the second grade to the ninth, as well as in College.
