Was the major brave? Why do you think so?

Bravery is one of the positive qualities of a person. Courage, bravery, boldness are words that are synonymous. With them associated manifestations of human nature in any emergency: fire, flood, military action. A ten-year-old boy rushes to save a sinking girl. The young man climbs onto the roof of the high house, from there to the balcony and save the child from the burning apartment. These are all manifestations of courage.

Ernest Hemingway lived only 62 years, but his life was full of adventure and struggle, defeats and victories, great love and exhausting work. He was a zealous hunter and fisherman, took part in the most risky adventures and audacious studies. His characters were like him: brave, energetic, ready to fight.

One of these brave heroes was a major. I really think he is brave. But not just because he was a major. I think war turns any person into a brave man, ready to give his life for what he thinks is right, worthy of a feat. Whether he was brave initially or whether the war brought him up a bold war, it is difficult to say. It is also difficult that he could have been brave since childhood, but it did not show up, and the war simply showed his true character traits.

Perhaps life's circumstances have hardened him. Although no, it is not just possible, but for sure. Obstacles either break you, or make you stronger.

The major, who used to be a famous swordsman, did not believe in heroism. The major visited the hospital exceptionally regularly. Probably, he did not miss a single procedure, although he certainly did not believe in these devices. He seemed very angry. He said that a man should not marry. If he is destined to lose everything, it should not be put on the line yet. He should not drive himself into the position of a man who has something to lose. It is necessary to acquire only that it is impossible to lose.
