My report on languages in my country

I live in Russia and there are a lot of people who can speak Russian in my country. But on the other hand there are some ethnic groups, that speak Armenian, Georgian, Tatar and other languages. In some places people speak their native language and also have to know Russian to communicate with each other. Some people learn English to find new friends or communicate with tourists from different countries.

In my opinion, if my country has a lot of languages, it means that it is a multinational country and it has a lot of different cultures. People find it significant to learn more about foreign culture if they want to go to another part of their country where people speak different languages. People have an access to unseen parts of their country by speaking with people, who lived there for a long time and have their own language to communicate. In this way people share their knowledges, traditions and find a communication with each other.

On the other hand, when people have different native languages, it makes some difficulties with the communication. Even when people know another language they won’t feel themselves freely when they will have a conversation. A small misunderstanding is one of the main problems of different languages. It happens because of different translations of words, phraseological units, sayings, expressions and so on. Don’t forget about terms in science, engineering, literature, math, music and so on.

In conclusion, I would like to say, that even if my country is a multinational country and has different cultures, but has some problems with communication, but day by day people still communicate and find a common language. Also we even have a tolerance to each other in a real life.
