Comparison of the rock musical "TODD" and the movie "Sweeney Todd, demon-hairdresser from Fleet Street"

I watched the rock musical “Todd” and the movie “Sweeney Todd, the demon hairdresser from Fleet Street.” I want to compare my impressions of the musical and the movie.
I was at times more pleasant and more interesting to watch a musical than a movie. Because the musical is a “live” performance, live music is right from the stage! In the film there are no beautiful dances, feelings, emotions, games of actors and, of course, music. Let the musical recorded on camera, but the game of musicians and actors can not be compared with the actors in the film! And the most important thing is that the main roles and music were played by the famous Russian punk band Kish. I liked this musical more than the movie.
I think that it is very difficult to remove the film version of the musical and it is not always possible. In this film adaptation I liked almost everything. The originality of the musical numbers, arias, interesting dances, sometimes funny characters and the whole production. But, as I said, I don’t really like the genre of this musical, it’s too gloomy for me.
Now let's talk about the plot. Firstly, I do not welcome murder and violence in films and theatrical productions. In TODD this is too much, it was not always pleasant to watch. Especially about the pies with the filling. Secondly, I noticed differences in the plot, it is strange. In the film, one by one, in a rock musical on the other.
I will sum up a little. None of the works I really liked. But in comparison, of course, theatrical production is much better than the film. I am for live music, interesting numbers, dances and special effects!
