What is a flag? What is it used for? Have you ever thought about it?

    A flag is a symbol of the country.  It has a specific color and shape. The flag indicates that the territory belongs to a particular state. Many countries use different colors on the flag. Each color has a special meaning. The flag of Russia consists of three colors: white, blue, red. White color stands for peace, purity, nobility. Blue color means loyalty, honesty, perfection and chastity. Red color means courage, courage, generosity and love. The flag was invented and composed by Peter the Great.  Currently, there is no official interpretation of colors.

I think the use of different colored stripes on the flag is a good option of symbolism.  It's simple and laconically. On the other side, I see a minus in this method. Flags of different countries are similar to each other. Sometimes they can be confused.

Any country has something special. Any foreigner associates other country with something or

someone. For most foreigners Russia is associated with bears, matryoshka dolls, a large territory

with minerals. I believe that on the flag of Russia you can place the bear. A bear is a pretty smart

animal. It is the largest predator on the earth. This may represent the territory of our state. Also a bear can be characterized as a mighty and strong beast. For instance, for France I could pick Eiffel tower.  It is joke, but it is truth. It would be easier to recognize it is flag, because many countries use those color strips.

The flag is an important thing for every country. But many people belive that flag is not important, they don’t even think of it. The flag is one of the main symbols of the country. It is also important as a coat of arms and anthem. Flags make us being patriots. But there are few real patriots left in our country.
