What can be used on a flag to symbolize a country?

Why are there so many different world flags? What are the most common symbols on flags? Why do countries have flags?

Every country has got a specific flag as their national symbol. Flags show that we belong to a community , organization or nation and that we share beliefs , goals , rules and regulations.

I think that on a flag can be used different symbols or colors to symbolize a country. Firstly, it`s simple and laconically. The symbol can show the country main activity interests , weather or traditional signs to distinguish the country from others. All cultures use certain symbols which are meaningful to them, some of the symbols are even universal, that is they have the same meaning all over the world. For example, sun displayed in crescent shape to distinguish it from the symbol of the sun, stars are usually represent energy.

Secondly, the flag indicates that the territory belongs to a particular state. That is why, many countries use different colors on the flag . Each color has a special meaning. The flag of Russia consists of three colors : white, blue, red. White color stands for peace , purity. Blue – means loyalty, honesty, red means courage and love.

In conclusion, I would like to say that it is very important that each country has its own flag with distinctive features , when will immediately help to understand what this or that country is.
