United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

The United Kingdom lies for centuries on the British Isles of the Atlantic Ocean. The United Kingdom includes: England; Scotland; Wales; Northern Ireland. Population 260,000 people, territory 242,495 km². The capital of the Great Britain is London. Great Britain is traditionally divided into highlands and lowlands, the dividing line of these territories runs from the mouth of the Ex River in a southwestern direction. The separation is 213 meters in height and this line separates the old mountains in the north from the younger sedimentary formations in the south. The largest river in Great Britain is the Severn, which flows through the territory of England and Wales. The Thames is the river on which the capital stands - London, there are still the rivers Tees, Aix, Tyne, Er and others. There are no very large lakes, but there is the whole Lake District, the largest national park in England and, perhaps, the most famous natural region. The climate is oceanic, formed by the warm Gulf Stream
