Oliver Twist the protagonist of Charles Dickens’s eponymous novel, “The Adventures of Oliver Twist”

Oliver Twist the protagonist of Charles Dickens’s eponymous novel, “The Adventures of Oliver Twist”. The boy's mother died in childbirth not leaved, no data neither about himself nor about the father of the child. Oliver even received the surname from the parish beadle.

Several times his life was in danger, and he was on the verge of death. Being at the mercy of officials and bandits, he constantly experiences hunger and suffers humiliation and beatings.

From the places where he grew up and was brought up, Oliver fled to London, where he fell into the hands of a gang of pickpockets led by a Jew. Only by a lucky chance, which happened twice, he manages to escape from the clutches of criminals and not go to prison.

The first occasion brings Oliver together with Mr. Brownlow, a kind gentleman, who takes him from the police station to his home and saves him from illness. But a gang of villains finds the boy and keeps him locked up, to commit another major robbery.

In connection with a failed robbery, little Twist is got wounded. The second time his life is saved by good people-miss Rose Maily and her aunt, whose house they wanted to Rob.

Believing in the boy, good people, find out who his father and mother. As a result, Mr. Brownlow turns out to be a friend of Edwin Leeford, Oliver's father, and Miss Rose is the sister of Agnes Fleming, Oliver's mother, and is his aunt.

Oliver also learns about his half-brother Edward Leeford, aka Mr. Monks. It is Mr. Monks who is responsible for the fact that poor Oliver had to endure so much trouble, he was who wanted the innocent child to become a thief and a criminal, to deprive Oliver of the inheritance that to his.

Good happens to everyone, and Oliver is no exception. It pleases me that after so many trials, he still finds his family and loved ones, kindness and warmth in which he needed from birth. For me, Oliver is a defenseless child who endured the harsh blows of fate, but the main thing is that these blows could not break his strong spirit and pure heart.
