National flag

National flag is one of the most importante and respected symbol of country. And a lot of national flags consist of various geometric shapes. They symbolize, as a rule, history and culture of a country. For exaple:

1. Russian stripes of tricolor. White means peace, purity and perfection, blue simbolize faith to God and loyalty for state, red is color of energy, power and blood, that was shed for Homeland.

2. Flag of the USA. 13 white and red stripes mean a number of English colonies, which established this country. White stars in the upper-right corner, it number is 50, mean number of states included the USA.

3. Flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northen Ireland famous of its crosses. There are 3 crosses on it. Red cross of St. George (revered in England), white tiled cross of St. Andrew (revered in Scotland) and red tiled cross St. Patrick (revered in Ireland).Also you can see crosses on flags of Georgia, Scandinavian countries and Switzerland.

Weapons. You can see a rifle on the flag of Mozambique, swords on flags of Saudi Arabia and Sri-Lanka, a machete on the flag of Angola, arrows on the flag of Virgin Irelands, trident on the flag of Barbados and spears on flags of Kenya and Swaziland.

You can see man or his part of the body on flags of Empire of Benin (one man kills another), Belize (two men stand both around the shield), Republic Abkhazia (palm out on the left-up corner of the flag) and the wonderful flag of the Island Man (three feet, this symbol named - Triscelion).

Animals. A lot of countries used animals and mystical creatures like a national symbol. Condor in Ecuador, eagle in Zambia, crane in Uganda, two-head eagle in Albania, dragon in Butane, heaven-bird in the Papua New Guinea.

The above is only small part of flags in world. Nowadays we have 193 country in United Nations and some unrecognized countries. And each country has own unique flag with national symbol.
