How to become a good manager?

Today the profession of a manager is one of the most demanded in the labor market. No company can do without a manager. In the method, the term "management" as a process of managing people, a special art or management skills ...

Manager is an employee of the company, whose goal is to effectively manage subordinates and perform high-quality production processes.

Each structural unit of the company has a manager who heads it.

His main responsibilities include managing internal processes and aligning these with external processes.

The set of managers, by analogy with the pyramid, form a management hierarchy.
It should be noted that a highly qualified employee who independently deals with management issues cannot be considered a manager.

The need for a manager appears when the complexity of the work performed requires the involvement of several specialists and a person is required to manage their activities.

The manager is focused on achieving the ultimate goal of the production processes of his unit. Managing employees is not a goal, but a means that allows him to achieve the required results.

A manager can be both a leader, managing his own business, and an employee invited to the company from outside. Managers can lead any commercial and non-profit organization: religious, community, etc. At the same time, a top-level manager leads the entire organization, and a lower-level manager only heads a part of it.

The main functions of the manager include:

- planning - defining the goals and actions of the organization;

- organization - increasing the efficiency of subordinates;

- coordination - establishing links to achieve the goal;

- motivation - creating "incentive" conditions for employees;

- control - tracking work processes, deadlines, correcting errors.

The manager's resources are such tools that he can successfully apply in the process of managing the organization. The resource system consists of: administrative and professional resources, as well as psychological resources of the individual.

The main condition for an excellent manager's work is the balance of the resource system, I.e. both professional and psychological resources should be in line with the administrative resources provided to him.

In addition, only the skills of top managers are considered universal. The lower a manager's rank, the more specialized his skills are in relation to a particular industry.
