A special dish, eaten in your family on a special day

There are not many special days in a person's life. It can be your birthday, wedding day, birthdays of children, grandchildren, the day that turned life around, etc. But the special days that are associated with a special dish – even less.

A common option in America is to celebrate thanksgiving with a special dish – turkey. There are a lot of films that tell about this. On this day, the whole family gathers for a wonderful dinner. Therefore, this option of a special day with a special dish immediately comes to mind. But this is America. My family as true patriots of the homeland adhere to national traditions. And our special day, which we celebrate every year and prepare special food, which we eat only on this day, is the day – bright Easter. It is a day as a monument to all believers in Jesus Christ and resurrection of Christ. As a rule, it is celebrated in the spring.

On the eve of this day we cook eggs and then paint them in different colors, make all kinds of drawings and stickers on them. Eggs are a symbol of Easter. There is a legend that when Mary Magdalene learned that Jesus had risen she ran to tell about it, but she could not get to the Emperor without a gift and took as a gift what fell into her hand and it was an egg. We also bake pies. They require products such as flour, eggs, water, salt, sugar, butter, raisins and colored glaze. They turn out airy and beautiful. Maybe they are not as delicious as cakes, but they are wonderful to decorate the holiday table. These dishes we eat only at Easter and they are considered the most special in our lives. When my children were small, they were happy to prepare for this holiday. They took great care that the eggs they decorated themselves were the most beautiful and unlike each other. During the celebration they competed fought eggs and who did not break the egg, he won. It turns out that this dish also brought joy to children. And this tradition of competitions has been preserved to this day. The kids have grown up but they're still interested in competing in it.

Special days bring the whole family together very much. First, all together prepare special dishes then celebrate fun trying what they have prepared, communicate and make memorable photos that are so nice to see in moments of nostalgia.
