Why is time management important in the workplace?

I'm a school teacher. I have to follow the rules and to get on a schedule exactly in my work. But I’m a very disorganized person in my routine. I always know what I’m going to do today or tomorrow, but I don't like keeping a schedule.

My mother always said: “You can get more done in less time”. She is a workaholic. But I like to relax. And I prefer to live spontaneously. I want to think freely and become more flexible in my life. Everything I do depends either on the weather or my mood.

On the other hand, I don’t have enough time in my day and I can’t often finish my tasks. I'm certainly aware that I’m wasting my time.

I realize I have a problem with the time management and I must do something about it. I have tried keeping a diary many times in the past, but I never succeeded longer than some days. I get tired of it quickly and I never have time for keeping a diary!

I'm 35 now, and I realize I could achieve more if I learned to plan my time. It’s very important to learn the time management, when you have a lot of things to do everyday. How to balance work, hobbies and family? Planning is the key of success!

It’s difficult for me to use priority list or to get on a schedule, but I finally learned to eliminate my distractions like TV or social networking sites. From time to time I use a special app on my phone that helps me to fix my goals and mark a progress in their achieving.

Time management is very important for rational and effective organization of working hours and a free time. It helps to be punctual and achieve goals.
