The importance of management in modern society

There is an opinion that management is very important for modern society and organizations. What is the importance of management in modern society?

Management is needed to define and set goals, achieve them with the help of people and resources, coordination and control. Management refers to a market economy. The market economy is a set of enterprises doing business in different industries, thus covering all.

Without a competent management system or self-organization, effective economic activity in any sphere is impossible: business, public administration, non-commercial projects

Modern society is characterized by a rapid growth in the number of a wide variety of processes in all spheres of society, as well as an increasing speed of their course. Under such conditions, management begins to play a peculiar role of «cement of society» as a set of coordination mechanisms, cooperation and integration tools.

Firstly, management determines the production of goods and services necessary for consumers. Manufacturers, with the help of management, find out the current needs of the population by conducting social surveys or using advertising offers to attract interest in certain products, which also affects the increase in profits for the company for the production of goods. A special regularity is observed in this branch.

Secondly, management determines the creation of jobs to increase the growth of the population's well-being. As already shown in the previous section, it is the development of management that is a necessary condition for the development of social relations.

Thirdly, it is management in all spheres, from individual business structures to the state and interstate regulation, that allows you to avoid chaos and spontaneity.

So, management at the current stage of social relations plays a key role in the organization and management of all parts of society. In this case, the manager plays the role of not only a leader, but also a carrier of information, an advisor, etc.
