Social networks: advantages and disadvantages

In our days many people spend a lot of time in the social networks. You can meet a person who is not registered in no one social network very rarely.Social networking sites have been developing day by day so that reaching out to people becomes more and more easier for the users. Social networks have a lot of advantages and disadvantages.

Let’s start with the positive side of the social networks.

1) You can always connect with you friends, relatives and etc. even if they live abroad. You can even see each other via Internet. And in many causes it is free.

2) You can find out news about items which interesting for you. For example, music, books, foreign languages and etc.

3) You can find friends who live, for example, in England and it help you to develop and practice your English. Also when you probably would go to the England, you would stay in your friend’s home.

4) People can update and let others know about their lives and the activities they carry out which are liked by people.

5) Important notices and information are sent to people using the various social networking sites.

Now I want to tell you about disadvantages of the social networks:

1) People waste too much time in the social networks, therefore they don’t keep pace to do all their affairs in time.

2) Cybercrime has come into being because of the existence of social networking sites. This includes hacking and spying.

3) There is always a risk of frauds to create fake social accounts which may turn out to be unacceptable to people and can lead on to serious issues.

Thus, I can say that the invent of social networking sites might have helped people in exploring a lot by extending the boundaries. But sometimes these extended boundaries can make us repent later.
