“What can you say about Hamlet, the main character of “Hamlet, Prince of Denmark”

William Shakespeare wrote the tragedy "Hamlet" many centuries ago, but even now there are many fundamental questions that everyone thinks about. The protagonist of the tragedy is a man of his time, so many people do not understand him and his actions seem strange to us. But at the same time Hamlet is out of time, because he reflects on the eternal problems. The problems that were solved by the main character are still relevant now. Namely, the struggle between good and evil.

Hamlet is the main character and protagonist in the play “Hamlet” by William Shakespeare. Hamlet is the Prince of Denmark. He is the son of Queen Gertrude and King Hamlet, who was murdered by his uncle Claudius. Hamlet is an extremely intriguing and complex character that appears to change with every different perspective. Shakespeare has done an absolutely fantastic job with capturing true human characteristics with Hamlet.

After the death of his father, Hamlet faced a cruel reality. He grew up, ceased to believe in friendship, love, kindness, but he becomes crueler, because his goal was revenge. He wanted to avenge the death of his father and for this he needed to tear off the surrounding masks and understand who was a friend and who was an enemy. He found out the betrayal of friends, and that seemed that he began to hate this world. He didn't know what to do, whether to accept the world or try to change it. At first, despite the desire for revenge, he was more of an observer, it was humanity and the belief that not all people lie. He had only one true friend left - Horace. Only he was sincere with Hamlet and didn't want to hurt him.

Hamlet was convinced that the afterlife does not exist and at the same time convinced of the opposite: Ghosts words are true. Hamlet could act and he acted, but his torn conscience and doubt he was ready for revenge and inactive; it could not decide on one murder, and his behavior involved the death of those people who would not have to be punished.

Hamlet felt very lonely, because no one saw the world as he saw it. Nobody could understand him, so he went into battle and died. It happened because of his wisdom. He took responsibility for the evil done by people. However, throughout the play, Hamlet became wiser. The play impressed me very much and made me think about the meaning of life.
