A happy future is only in our hands

Our world is constantly changing, and will be. And everything we do now is reflected in the future. As one famous phrase says, "Yesterday is history, today is the present, and tomorrow is our future." People are very fond of dreaming and speculating about what awaits us tomorrow.

Some believe that the world is striving for destruction. And all our actions will lead to the annihilation of our planet and ourselves. Over the past 100 years, there have been many wars that our Land has never seen before. What only the Second World War is worth. To this day, people continue to invent deadly weapons and destroy the environment and nature around them. I believe that if people don't come to their senses, the consequences will be terrible. Soon forests and clean drinking water will disappear. Many people are already suffering from food shortages. People will start fighting not for land, but for a drink of water, a piece of fresh meat. Wars will become more destructive if people use nuclear weapons, and then the Earth will be plunged into an atomic winter for many centuries. Many countries and peoples will be destroyed. I don't really want that happen.

However, there are those who believe that all these problems will be avoided with the development of technology and an increase in the level of education. Scientists are already learning how to extract fresh water from salt seas and icebergs. And they have already begun to grow meat and human organs in the laboratory. So our Land will flourish for thousands of years. I believe that people will learn to appreciate what surrounds them, protect forests and seas, switch to a new more economical type of fuel, and stop destroying the environment. Life expectancy will also increase, due to the development of medicine.

In my opinion, our future is very ambiguous. But I would like to see our planet prosperous and its inhabitants happy. But this is only possible if each of us starts taking small steps right now. It will be difficult, but everything is possible.

In General, I believe that we will have a happy future, because it is only in our hands.
